I have a related but different issue. I just bought a 2003 Grand Cherokee, and it seems the the Climate Control (AZC Module) isn't working. I found a place to run a diagnostic, and "If a display segment fails to illuminate, the vacuum fluorescent display is faulty and the a/c heater control must be replaced." Activating the on-board diagnosis function. At the climate control assembly, PRESS the "OFF" and "FOOTWELL" buttons simultaneously for exactly 2 seconds, then PRESS "AUTO" within 1.5 seconds. The on-board diagnosis which then starts lasts a few seconds. An animated display appears in the display of the climate control assembly during this time. Next time you experience this click on the climate control button on the lcd screen and see if the vents are set to auto. They can be set to auto even if the auto button is not lit up and I have noticed that it takes longer for the cabin to heat or cool if this occurs. Press one of the blender door options and see if the warm air starts flowing. The manual control portion appears to work just fine and can cycle from defrost to upper and lower vents as selected. - Air temperature can be adjusted from hot to cold and the blend door appears to operate as it should. Fan speed will change depending on temperature set and temp of cabin. Recirculate appears to work when selected in manual mode. ISSUE: Some 2005-2008 F-150 and 2006-2008 Mark LT vehicles equipped with Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) may exhibit intermittent periods of warm air output in Auto mode with the temperature control set between 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit (18-22 degrees Celsius). Classic Ford bullshit. My farm went through 3 f250’s from 05-11 Nothing but bullshit with them. Now we’ve got a 2019 Chevy 2500, a 08 dodge, and good ole workhorse dodge 24v. Will not ever buy a Ford again. On 3/5/2011 at 4:50 PM, Goga5 said: Just got new Edge'11 limited last week and already heaving number of problems. The front touch board did not work, climate menu in the touch There's a electronic control hot water pump for Dual climate controls. 1) When the car is at normal operating cond, turn off Car engine. 2) Turn on Ignition switch to the on pos, this will activate the pump,so you can have heat in car while Eng is off. 3) This will force the hot water through the Dual climate control solenoid. 4) Check Anti .
